The Background:

An excellent in-house opportunity has just arisen within this Global Mobility department. Working as a Global Mobility Advisor, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the assignment process for both in-bound and out-bound expatriates. You will provide advice and support in all areas related to mobility.


The Role:

The responsibilities of a Global Mobility Advisor include but are not limited to the following:

Responsible for providing expert guidance, training and advise to other team members in respect of facilitating staff in relocation, repatriation and assignment management

Manage and provide advice on privileges and immunities which will include liaison with designated UK government offices; the Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Home Office and the Diplomatic Section of DVLA

Liaise with Resident Office Managers in the countries of operations with regard to facilitating local payments relating to mobility and support in local regulations in respect of immigration/customs clearance

Provide expert guidance and advice to team members on complex immigration & mobility issues

To monitor any immigration developments that may affect staff and inform/train other members of the team as and when needed

Deal independently with queries on related HR issues received from internal clients

Liaise effectively with external suppliers and clients as necessary

Maintain operational efficiency through reducing duplication of tasks and increasing automation

Participate, as required, in a variety of tasks/projects both within and outside the sphere of HR Client Services.


The Person:

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within the field of international assignments, either global mobility or expatriate management. You will be well organised, a strong communicator and possess good interpersonal skills. Candidates with additional knowledge regarding immigration, taxation, compensation or payroll would be preferable.
